OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY

It doesn’t matter if you make wedding dresses or simply do the household mending: the first tool every sewer needs is a pincushion. Your Nan’s classic tomato and strawberry type rolls right over the worktable and comes up with hair on it. The wristband type won’t roll, but every so often the pin goes into your arm instead. The collectible Victorian silver ones are beautiful, expensive, and hold about five pins.

After a big job repairing antique costumes that had been auctioned off by the Royal Opera House, I determined to make the tool I wanted. Heavy, stable and large…and charming enough to provide companionship as well!

There’s no such thing as too many hedgehogs around a British household!
